Victor and Cole split the wins, but Daniel Erickson stole the show in race two on an eventful weekend at Lime Rock. The young Australian spun off on a heroic last-lap pass attempt in the first race, and drove from 14th to second in the next one, and nearly ran down Carbone for the win.

Full and speedy recovery is expected and Denison is looking forward to rejoining the series at the next stop, August 6-8, at Elkhart Lake’s Road America, joining a field expected to approach 40 cars at the high-speed circuit. Following F2000's second race at Lime Rock on July 24 during the track's ALMS weekend, driver Dan Denison, who crashed with five laps remaining, was transported to Sharon Hospital for observation. Following an overnight stay at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, Denison was released and traveled home on Sunday.

LCarbone took a commanding victory.akeville, CT – Victor Carbone bounced back from his first DNF of the year in race one earlier today to take a commanding victory in the second and final F2000 race of the weekend at Lime Rock. Alegra Motorsports’ Carbone dominated round ten of the season, leading from pole to further extend his points lead over Cole Morgan, who won the first round at Lime Rock this morning. One very-hard chagrining Daniel Erickson finished second after starting a distant 14th in an amazing drive. Phil Lombardi rounded off the podium with the Masters Class win.

Photo: Angelo LisuzzoLakeville, CT – Cole Morgan got around Stevan McAleer on a restart and held off a late-charging Daniel Erickson on a green-white-checkered finish to take his second win of the year and gain back huge championship ground in race one at Lime Rock. Morgan capitalized from a fifth-place starting position to take the win for K-Hill Motorsports and new sponsor, Ranger Up military and patriotic apparel. McAleer finished second as Daniel Erickson went off on the last lap, also vaulting Phil Lombardi to third from his seventh place starting position.

Carbone took a solid Lime Rock poleLakeville, CT –In a qualifying session that saw a rapidly drying Lime Rock race track, championship points leader Victor Carbone took pole in dominating fashion for the second F2000 Championship Series race of the weekend, scheduled for 5:15pm tomorrow afternoon. The 30-minute session saw times tumble as a dry line emerged following a day of moderate rain showers at the Connecticut race track.  Carbone was on the top of the charts most of the session and his Alegra Motorsports teammate, Fabio Orsolon will line up next to him.

Erickson inherited the poleLakeville, CT – A crazy F2000 qualifying session in heavy rain at Lime Rock saw Daniel Erickson inherit his fourth pole of the year. The Australian rookie capitalized on Masters Class driver Keith McCrone – who had set fast time in his R-Sport Van Diemen before a crash saw his car airborne in turn one. McCrone emerged unhurt, but because he brought out the caution he surrenders two grid positions, giving the top spot to Erickson.

Carbone and Orsolon were 1-2 in P1Lakeville, CT – Championship points leader Victor Carbone paced a wet 35-minute practice session at historic Lime Rock Park to open the F2000 doubleheader weekend for rounds nine and ten of the 2010 championship. Carbone’s Alegra Motorsports teammate and fellow Brazilian Fabio Orsolon was second quickest.
