Watkins Glen, NY – F2000 rookies Chris Livengood and Daniel Erickson each took a pole and three championship bonus points in a somewhat untraditional day for the F2000 Championship Series that saw double qualifying sessions run in succession for rounds seven and eight of the 2010 season at Watkins Glen with IndyCar. Livengood will start from pole in race one on Saturday and Erickson will take the 32-car field to the green on Sunday.

Watkins Glen, NY – Keeping up the momentum from his last F2000 weekend at VIR, Australian rookie Daniel Erickson paced practice one at Watkins Glen with a time of 1:53.8. Erickson, in the #18 Quantum Mechanics/Primus Racing Van Diemen was on top for the majority of the session as Chris Livengood, Jonathan Scarallo, Rob Nicholas and Keith McCrone followed.

Watkins Glen, NY – Some 30 F2000 cars took to the track for two 45-minute sessions prior to rounds seven and eight of the 2010 season at Watkins Glen International with the IndyCar Series. Perhaps the biggest storyline to the day’s untimed sessions was Australian rookie Daniel Erickson, who is back in a F2000 car for Quantum Mechanics/Primus Racing after showing impressive speed at VIR.

New York, NY – Thirty-six F2000 Championship Series cars are entered for this weekend’s Fourth of July double header event with the IndyCars at Watkins Glen and the field is competitive as ever. Victor Carbone leads in points coming off his fourth win in six races at Mosport. Cole Morgan isn’t far behind, with a single win and a host of podiums from some impressive drives.

New York, NY – The SMR team has grabbed open-wheel stand-out Stevan McAleer for their #14 Race House entry, owned by Tad Uzzle, for both the Watkins Glen and Lime Rock events. McAleer, from Scotland, brings a host of open-wheel experience to the table and will partner with rookie Tim Paul. Paul is in his first season of F2000 competition, moving over with his SMR team from the sprint car ranks, meanwhile, McAleer has a long resume of open-wheel and karting experience, including both Formula BMW and Skip Barber.
