Braselton, GA – Dramatic conditions at Road Atlanta saw Simon Sikes take his No. 3 entry from Primus Racing to victory in the rain, winning convincingly from his fourth place starting position in the second race of the season. It was the first win for Sikes, from Martinez, Georgia, in F2000 Series competition with Reece Everard finishing second with James Roe in third in a side-by-side finish. Steve Jenks, who was the outright winner of the morning race, won the Masters Class with a fifth place run. Full Results.

Braselton, GA – Steve Jenks scored his first career F2000 Championship Series victory on Sunday morning at Road Atlanta. Jenks, starting from the outside of the front role in the No.68, took the lead at the drop of the green and fended off a race-long challenge from 2017 Champion Brandon Dixon, who finished second. Braselton, GA – A lap of 1:24.787 earned Brandon Dixon the first pole position of the 2018 F2000 Championship Series season, as he narrowly edged Steve Jenks by just over a tenth of a second in Saturday afternoon qualifying from Road Atlanta. Prior to the last week, I hadn't been in a car since October where I wrapped up the end of 2017 with an F1600 race in New Jersey. Wampum, PA - After a near three-year hiatus from F2000 Championship Series competition, two-time Champion Tim Minor returned to take the victory in round nine of the 2017 season at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Minor led all 17 laps of Saturday's race and held off a determined Steve Jenks for the race distance. Jenks would finish second by .454 seconds in the No. 68 while Mid-Ohio winner John McCusker completed the podium. Points leader Brandon Dixon started on pole, fell back to ninth on the opening lap and recovered to finish fourth.

It was about a racing horse who had shown a lot of potential, but for some reason could never win a race, though he had very solid training and had all the physical ability. People were puzzled. He was retired, and given to a farm that would take care of him, and it was found out that his shoes were awful. He was in pain in the home stretch, and as soon as they took them off he was running better than he ever had during his career while being trained. His name was Skipper Lou.
