Millville, NJ - Brandon Dixon delivered a solid finish to his 2017 title-winning F2000 Championship Series season, winning the final race of the season on Sunday at New Jersey Motorsports Park. It was Dixon's fourth win in 14 starts in 2017, and fifth career F2000 win, as he charged from fourth to first on the opening lap.

Brandon Dixon, meanwhile, clinched the 2017 F2000 Championship with a fourth place finish behind Michael d'Orlando in second  and John McCusker in third place.

Dixon's win extends his Championship lead as Saturday winner Tim Minor finished second for Ski Motorsports. Tim Paul ran as high as second and completed the podium in third for R-Sport in the No. 6. Jenks started from pole but eventually retired with a mechanical issue.

Jenks, driving the No. 68 for Tumenas Motorsports, set the fastest time at 1:40.363 to take pole by .016 seconds ahead of Brandon Dixon. Full results.

Minor Fends Off Jenks at Pittsburgh

Wampum, PA - After a near three-year hiatus from F2000 Championship Series competition, two-time Champion Tim Minor returned to take the victory in round nine of the 2017 season at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Minor led all 17 laps of Saturday's race and held off a determined Steve Jenks for the race distance. Jenks would finish second by .454 seconds in the No. 68 while Mid-Ohio winner John McCusker completed the podium. Points leader Brandon Dixon started on pole, fell back to ninth on the opening lap and recovered to finish fourth.

It's the first win for McCusker at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, as he took the No. 01 DotWorks Racing entry to victory lane by less than a second over Paul while Frederick completed the podium.

It was about a racing horse who had shown a lot of potential, but for some reason could never win a race, though he had very solid training and had all the physical ability. People were puzzled. He was retired, and given to a farm that would take care of him, and it was found out that his shoes were awful. He was in pain in the home stretch, and as soon as they took them off he was running better than he ever had during his career while being trained. His name was Skipper Lou.

Bob ReidAlton, VA - A move on a mid-race restart gave Bob Reid the race lead, with the R-Sport driver hanging on to take his first career F2000 Championship Series victory in the 2016 season finale race at VIR on Sunday morning.
